I have Delta Dental of MA and I have the PPO Premier plan from work. I recently was told by my dentist that I have a cavity and would need a filling.

My dentist told me that the procedure would cost $277, but Delta would only pay $38, so with my $50 deductible, I'm responsible for $248.80!!! Are you kidding me? Why am I paying for insurance if the insurance doesn't actually pay. Customer Service said they don't cover white fillings on a back tooth.

Where can you find a dentist that still uses silver filling? Tell me!! This is the WORSE dental insurance company.

Had better coverage with Cigna and MetLife.

Monetary Loss: $249.

They say they will pay 80% for a tooth pulled. It was $129.00.

They paid 80% on $40.00. So They paid $32.00. The Dentists in NE charge any where from $75.00, $90.00 or $129.00. You pay the rest.

You don't want this insurance.

The employer & employee pay about $900.00 a year. My total bill was $2032.00 They paid $468.40 and I paid $1563.60

I could have swore I poster the comment above but I don't believe they even paid up to $400 out of my $2900 bill.
